BPI’s clients range from small literary agents to some of the world’s largest global publishers.

John Lawson
John LawsonManaging Director
John has worked in the IT application software sector for over 25 years’, primarily selling, implementing, and supporting enterprise ERP/CRM software solutions across several sectors including Publishing, Property, and Finance. He is familiar with all business processes applicable to Book Publishing, B2B and B2C Magazine, Journal and Digital Publishing; ERP; CRM; Credit Management; Sales, Marketing and Distribution. During his career, he has enjoyed roles in New Business Development, Pre-sales, Account Management, Software Implementation, Project Management, Business Consultancy, Systems Analysis, Training, and Customer Service. Prior to joining knk, John spent 7 years as the Director of Klopotek UK and 6 years as Business Development Manager for Ingenta.
Alison Bradbury & Anne Phillips

Alison Bradbury and Anne Phillips are the co-founders of Bradbury Philips International. They each began as programmers and systems analysts. They decided to develop software for publishers rights departments and literary agents when PCs became available for office use, over 30 years ago. They have continued to develop their systems, including an authors royalty system, to reflect changing technology and changing needs in the market place. In 2018 the Bradbury Phillips business was taken over by knk software.
Marilyn Cresswell
Marilyn CresswellImplementation & Support Consultant
Marilyn is an experienced publishing professional with first-hand expertise in rights sales, royalties, licensing, and copyright permissions. Having worked in several publishing roles, most recently at Manchester University Press as Rights and Digital Systems Manager and then as Distribution and Content Manager, her extensive knowledge of the rights and content management process (from marketing, to contract negotiation and post-contract management) make her an ideal fit for Bradbury Phillips whose products have become the industry-leader for publishers and agencies worldwide.
Jo Burges
Jo BurgesProject Manager
Jo Burges has held various positions within the academic and professional publishing sector during the last 30 years, including Systems Director, and Editorial and Production Director at Ashgate Publishing, as well as several other publishing consulting roles. While at Ashgate Jo was responsible for the successful implementation of several complex IT projects, and she brings that experience to Bradbury Phillips as Project Manager.
